Hidden no more

I am hidden in the secret of this blank page

wrapped between a jumble of

feelings

and the squiggles of

twenty-six letters unfolding

into a game of hide-n-seek

with each space and dash,

each comma, each line break

I search

… for me

seeking Truth

I stretch out the letters across the pages of my heart,

gliding my pen across its unformed dreams

seeking Hope

I watch the emptiness disappear beneath my pen

forming just a hint of who I am

Seeking Love

I find myself

and all the secrets of who I am

holding my breath

listening

for Ollie and his oxen, and all of his Outs to be called in from hiding

waiting

to tumble out unafraid onto an empty page

hoping

to be set free

.~.. ~..~…~.. ~..~

to be found

  1. This was beautiful and so creative. I liked the blurred images. As a poet, I am inspired! I loved these lines:

    Seeking Love

    I find myself

and all the secrets of who I am

    holding my breath
