Here is just a tickle of taste of the beauty which keeps surprising us and taking our breath away.
And here, to save some time, I’ll keep the narration to a minimum for a change.
In the valley where two tetonic plates are drifting apart. Þingvellir National Park. This is one side of them.
Quite a rugged past! Below, on the very left side, you can see the hanging rock where they suspended the rope.
Next stop: Geyser.
This Geyser “Strokkur” (Little Brother) goes off every 5-15 minutes!
And the ‘end’ of the Golden Circle we visited this beauty: Gulfoss
(Foss is at the end of many sites… yep you guessed it: waterfall.
We even got to see a volcano blowing off a little steam! (Ha, fooled you.)
And finally dinner with a view. 11 pm never looked so good.
Home to a full moon in the evening twilight.
Wow what a day.
